We will keep you informed on the progress we make trying to get free lease land, and regarding assistance for this project. It is a big project very dear to my heart, and will need the practical help of many. Jason Gow Directing Manager of G J Gardner Homes Illawarra will build Cristina's House of Hope once we acquire land. 

Our long-term goals for Cristina's House of Hope are to set up a safe house in our community for women and children in crises from sexual abuse. The house will accommodate 6-7 women at a time, and we will be the first port of call for survivors. We will accommodate women and their children as we help them to find alternative accommodation. Also for people who come in off the street we will provide childcare facility only while they are receiving counselling from us. The house will be set up with:

Doctors Surgery. Nurses Station. Office for Cristina's House of Hope. Childcare workers & facility. Living in Accommodation. Counsellors Rooms. Staff Bedrooms and Lifeline phone line.

         

The facility once built and established will deal with hands on, lifeline practical issues related to victims of sexual abuse. We will have counselling rooms which will provide a safe space for women, and our day-care facilities will be set up with a nurse and childcare workers at all times to look after their children, we will support survivors and their children. Most  people who need our facility will be referred to us by such already established services in our community.
